Mayco Fundamentals Underglaze UG-223 Apricot | Cone 04-10

UG223 Apricot is a golden orange that can be applied to clay or bisque.

It initially fires to a dull matte because it is not a glaze. You then glaze it with the appropriate glaze for the clay body that you are using for your project.

Mayco underglazes can be used on both low fire and mid-range clay and can also be applied to greenware or bisque and produces a beautiful solid coverage and is also great for design work.

Cone 06 oxidation: Apricot will fire matte without addition of a clear glaze. To intensify color or for use on dinnerware, apply clear or matte clear glaze.

Cone 6 oxidation: Color slightly darkens. Recommended clear glaze is SW-001 Stoneware Clear.

Cone 10reduction:Color concentration occurs. Recommended clear glaze is SW-001 Stoneware Clear.
