Camp Memories Hand print Charger

Create a permanent memory of a great camp experience with a commemorative charger. Personalize it with a handprint, camp name and the year for a year-round reminder of a family or group good time!

    Wipe charger with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.

    Trace logs on contact paper and cut out. Remove backing and adhere to top and bottom of plate.

    Using Fan Glaze brush, brush three coats Neon Blue on upper section of plate followed by three coats Bright Caribbean and Light Blue Spruce. Repeat colors down plate, blending colors where they meet. Let dry thoroughly.

    Remove the contact paper. Brush three coats Light Ginger in logs. Let dry.

    Lay hand on center area of plate between the top and bottom logs.

    Use pencil to trace around wrist and fingers.

    Beginning from top of plate, use ruler to make straight lines going across plate approximately ½” apart. Where fingers and wrist begin, draw a slight arch to create dimension. Refer to photo if necessary. Continue to bottom of plate.

    Test French Dimension paint on paper towel for a smooth flow. *If paint is difficult to squeeze out, remove tip from bottle and stir paint well using a skewer.      

    Follow penciled lines across plate with the French Dimensions Black Licorice. Let dry.

    Write name of camp, year, etc. in the logs. Paint letters in desired colors. Let dry.

    Place plate on kiln shelf and fire to cone 06.

    Brush two coats Pure Brilliance to back of plate and one light coat to front. Let dry.

    Stilt on shelf and fire to cone 06.
