Cute Little Kiwi Bowl

The fuzzy little kiwi fruit may look ugly on the outside, but the inside packs a punch with nutrients. This cylindrical fruit and its distinctive features make it a great subject for painting a fun fruit bowl.

    Wipe bowl with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.

    Sponge or brush three coats Bright Ginger to outer bowl and lip. Let dry.

    Lightly sponge a coat of Neon Orange randomly over the Bright Ginger letting the Bright Ginger show through. Let dry.

    Freehand a roundish shape in bottom of bowl. Let dry.

    Brush inside with Light Kiwi beginning from top blending into sketched area on to bottom. Let dry.

    Brush three coats Bright Straw on bottom of bowl with Fan Glaze brush blending into the Light Kiwi. Let dry.  

    Mix a small amount of Black into some Light Kiwi. Using No. 6 Round, paint light streaks beginning from the yellow center into the kiwi color. Refer to photo if necessary. Let dry.

    Paint Black seeds randomly around the yellow center. Let dry thoroughly.

    Brush a light coat of Pure Brilliance to bowl. Let dry.

    Stilt on kiln shelf and fire to cone 06.
