HF-171 Amethyst – Mid Range Glaze in Pint Size Container

Amethyst is an
opaque, dark purple glaze that has a consistent, reliable result that is great
for classrooms. Due to the purple pigment Amethyst might lose some of the rich
purple color when fired at a higher temperature.

Several artists
have experimented with this glaze in wood, soda, and salt at temperatures up to
cone 12, which yielded great results!

always test when exploring alternative firings for any of AMACO’s glazes.
