Description
PC-70 – COPPER RED – Mid Range Potters Choice Glaze in Pint Size Container
Copper Red is an oxblood red that gives the same results in oxidation as a traditional reduction copper glazeâÃÂÃÂ. Copper Red breaks clear on edges or where thin.
Apply 3 coats for best results, do not thin glaze.
PC-70 Copper Red Glaze Application Tips & Tricks
Tip 1: Apply the glazes out of the jar, do NOT thin. The required thickness and nature of the materials create a thixotropic gel that makes the glaze seem thicker.
Tip 2: Apply glaze evenly and generously. We recommend glazing in a cross hatch pattern making sure your brush is always wet and never dragging glaze.
Tip 3: For the brightest and most dramatic results we recommend firing to cone 6.
Tip 4: These glazes do interesting things in the presence of Titanium; try pairing them with TH-1 High Fire Texturizer and/or PC-25 Textured Turquoise.
Tip 5: Try feathering the glaze to thinner coats at the bottom so the pieces doesnâÃÂÃÂt stick to your shelf.
âÃÂÃÂ
Pro Tip: Use a Satin Matte or Velvet Underglaze to help stop the flow of a runny glaze.
