Mayco Fundamentals Underglaze UG-031 Chocolate | Cone 04-10
UG031 Chocolate is a vibrant golden brown that can be applied to clay or bisque.
It initially fires to a dull matte because it is not a glaze. You then glaze it with the appropriate glaze for the clay body that you are using for your project.
Mayco underglazes can be used on both low fire and mid-range clay and can also be applied to greenware or bisque and produces a beautiful solid coverage.
Cone 06:Chocolate will fire matte without addition of a clear glaze. To intensify color or for use on dinnerware, apply clear or matte clear glaze.
Cone 6:Color lightens. Finish develops a soft gloss. Recommended clear glaze is SW-001 Stoneware Clear: Color concentration occurs.
