Give Mom her very own mug with a special touch of a heart in the middle of her name! The ombré effect makes it even more unique to give her a mug of her own!

Directions:

Wipe mug with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.

Cut piece of contact paper to the length and width of “MOM”. Remove backing and adhere to raised letters.

Pour puddle of Bright Aqua. Dilute paint to wash consistency. Dip dampened fan glaze brush into diluted paint and brush upward from base of mug brushing over the raised letters. Repeat with handle. Let dry.

Load brush with more of the same color but less “washy” and beginning from base of mug, brush upward keeping the colors truer at the base and blending into the lighter color at the top to create an ombré effect. Let dry and repeat a third time with a much less diluted color. Let dry.

Use Fan Glaze brush to lightly brush a coat of Sapphire Shimmer glaze on the bottom of mug lightly blending into the Bright Aqua. Brush two good coats to base. Let dry.

Remove shelf paper covering “Mom.” Use cleaning tool to scratch off any unwanted paint brushed on letters and brush a diluted color to blend into background.

Paint two coats Really Red to heart. Let dry.

Stilt on kiln shelf and fire to cone 06.

Brush two coats Pure Brilliance to inside cup and “MOM” and to outer cup plus handle. Dry.

Stilt cup on kiln shelf and fire to cone 06.
