Sugar Skull Cat
Create a decorative and unique Sugar Skull Cat to celebrate Dia de los Muertos!
Remove stopper from bottom of bank.
Wipe cat with damp sponge to remove bisque dust.
Use pencil to lightly sketch mask around cat’s face.
Freehand personal designs or trace patterns on shelf paper and cut out.
Remove backing and adhere designs to desired areas.
Brush 2 good coats of Black around cat’s face, body and bottom. Dry.
Paint cat’s nose with 3 coats of Light Pink. Dry.
Sketch hearts in cat’s eyes, ears and chest. Paint with 3 coats of Neon Red.
Paint 2 good coats around eyes with Neon Blue and eyes Black.
Use liner brush dipped in Black to paint whiskers, nostrils and mouth.
Remove stencils. Paint with 2 good coats of desired colors. Dry.
Use French Dimension colors to outline designs, make dots, toenails and embellish as desired. Dry well.
Stilt on kiln shelf and fire to Cone 06.
Brush a coat of Pure Brilliance to face and non painted bisque areas of cat. Dry. Brush a light coat over entire cat. Dry.
