SLABMAT 30 X 50

Description

SlabMat is the smooth alternative to canvas for rolling out slabs of clay.

It is a proprietary non-woven material used instead of canvas for slab rollers producing a smooth clay surface.

The manufacture recommends using a blunt-edged steel fettling knife for cutting clay directly on the slabmat.

You can use cornstarch as a release agent if you find that your clay slabs stick to the slabmat.

Use separate pieces for different colors of clay to avoid contamination by cross-coloration.

Advice:  It works best if you do not roll on the stamped side.
